This Trans in the Workplace infographic was created to educate and inform on the needs of the transgender community in the workplace.
We celebrate Transgender Awareness Week to raise awareness and memorialize victims of anti-transgender violence. The mistreatment of transgender people in the workplace far outweighs other workplace discrimination incidents. More than 1 in 4 transgender people have lost their job due to bias, and more than 75% have experienced some form of workplace discrimination. Workplace norms based on gendered behavior are a common reason for discrimination.
